Nomination Procedures

NOTE: The only restrictions on participating as a Delegate to the Continental Congress 2009 is that the person be a U.S. Citizen, and not currently be serving as an elected state or federal official. It will be up to the people of each state to develop, support and elect the best and brightest minds possible to represent them in November.
Procedure to Nominate a CC 2009 Delegate

1.  Click on:  https://givemeliberty.org/Delegates2009/nominee_modify.aspx

2.  You will be asked to log in to our secure server.  If you need your password, enter
your email and click the link indicated. If you have never subscribed to the We The People
user subscription, enter your email and join, activating your free user account via the link
sent to your email.

Note: Remember that Yahoo! blocks most WTP emails (including password
emails), and that all password emails may sometimes be temporarily delayed
depending on the current email processing load on our WTP server.  This occurs
most frequently when we are processing our bulk email lists.

3.   Qualifications to register a nomination:  Any person may nominate ONE
individual; either himself/herself, or another person. Any State Coordinator may nominate
anyone with their approval.

 

4.  If already logged in, click on the link “Add Nomination”. If your first time User go back

to https://givemeliberty.org/Delegates2009/dashboard.aspx and refresh. Then click on
“Add Nomination”

5.   Enter the nominee’s contact information. Note that although these fields are pre-
populated based on the existing Profile data associated with the log-in email ID, the
existing Profile data will NOT be changed as part of creating the nomination entry. If you
are nominating another person, you will likely need to update most of these fields.

6.   Education:  Enter your formal educational background.  Please use simple text
without html code or text enhancements (i.e., bold, italics, etc.). Example below:

Master of Arts, Harvard. (Political Science)
Bachelor of Arts, Boston College (Mathematics)
Jefferson High School, Chicago, IL
University of Iowa College of Law (Ph.D., Magna Cum Laude)

7.  Profession:  Enter your professional background or other qualifications. Use this
space to detail your personal qualifications and professional achievements. Example:

Admitted to Massachusetts Bar, 1761; Elected to Massachusetts Assembly, 1770;
Attended First Continental Congress, 1774-’76; Signed Declaration of Independence,
1776; Appointed Diplomat to France, 1776-’79; Member of assembly to form State
Constitution of Massachusetts. Have authored three books on the Constitution.  I have
been the owner/CEO of a successful metals fabrication business in the Chicago
area for 14 years. My corporate website is www.history-making-metals.com.

Note that this field supports most html text enhancements including the
inclusion of html links for graphics and videos.  Do NOT use “tables” in this
field. Use the default font and font size.

8.   Personal PUBLIC Statement:  Enter your short, personal public statement.  Use this
space to provide details relevant to your value as a CC 2009 delegate and your personal
commitment to Liberty. You may also wish to provide direct contact information here
beyond your email and public phone # provided above.  Example:

Greetings fellow citizens! Today we embark on a most righteous cause: to turn the
course of history and stop those who would seek to deny us our Liberty. We have but a
small window of time to reclaim our heritage – our Natural Right – the Divine gift of Freedom
before it is lost for all ages. I commit myself to this most noble cause and seek
to humbly represent each of you as our new National Congress convenes to discuss the
matters of Liberty and the means by which we may yet reclaim both our Republic and our
Constitution. The public may contact me at nominee@heretofore.com or (223) 345-6789
between 8-5 PM, Pacific.

9.  PRIVATE Personal Statement: This information will NOT be disclosed to the
public.  It will only be disclosed to WTP personnel or assignees directly involved in
reviewing and approving potential delegate nominees.  Please use simple text without
html tags or text enhancements (i.e., bold, italics, etc.).

10.  Additional Questions:  Select the proper response for every question, yes or no.

11.  Profile Photo:  Browse your computer to select a moderately sized .jpg, or .gif file
that will appear with your nomination profile on the WTP Congress state web pages.
Note this graphic is ideally a cropped “head and shoulders” photo.  The photo file itself
must physically be on your computer before you can upload it.  You cannot “upload” a
photo from a third-party web source.

If you need to save an existing photo from the web to your personal
computer, please right-click your mouse on the photo and “Save
Picture As…” If you need, please contact someone who can crop/edit
the photo. Graphic files cannot exceed 100 KB in size and will be
displayed on the WTP Congress web page at a size of approximately
1.5” wide.  To the left is an example cropped head and shoulders

Note:  If the system reports an error during the submit/review process, technical
limitations require that you MUST re-select your photo file again before resubmitting your
nomination.

12.  Submit & Preview:  If you encounter NO errors, your nomination is no stored and complete.

13.  Modification and/or Deletion – Nominators can modify –OR– withdraw their nomination
at any time.  If not available at the time of nomination submittal, photos can be submitted later by
logging back in at the link above, and selecting the “modify nomination” option.

14. Find your State Coordinator by navigating to your State here:
http://www.cc2009.us/get-started/find-state and email your State Coordinator to notify her/him
that you have submitted a Nomination. The State Coordinator will confer with his Nominating
Committee, review your submission, seek any clarifications and determine your eligibility to
display your Nomination Profile on the state pages.

15. CC2009 is working on an area where each Nominee can upload a link to their own video or
audio address to the citizens in your state at your Profile.
